Crane Technical Service & Spare Parts

When a crane stops, the cost is not the repair. It is the line behind it, which is why one number reaches our service desk around the clock and why we are on site within 48 hours, anywhere in Türkiye.

When to call the service desk

Technical service is the unplanned side of our work: a fault, a stoppage, or a request that will not wait for the next planned visit. One call to 444 8 440 starts it, we are on site within 48 hours anywhere in Türkiye, and we work on any make of crane or hoist.

The crane has stopped mid-shift

Nothing moves, or one motion has gone. This is the call the 24/7 line exists for, and the one where the hours between the call and the fix are the whole cost.

It still works, but something is wrong

A noise that was not there last month, a brake that grabs, a motion that trips intermittently. Faults like these are cheap while they are still symptoms.

A component has failed

Rope, hook block, brake, drive, limit switch, festoon. The part has to be identified correctly before anything is ordered, which is half the job on an older machine.

Nobody will touch it because of the badge

An imported crane whose supplier has gone, or a brand with no service presence here. We work on it the same way we work on ours.

Scope of a call

What a service call covers

Fault diagnosis on the machine, repair, replacement of the failed component, and putting the crane back into service. Where the repair touches something that carries the load, the crane is load tested before it goes back into production. Every call ends with a written record of what was found and what was done, which matters more than it sounds: on a crane with no history, that record is the beginning of one.

On Explosion-protected equipment a repair is carried out with components certified for the zone, so the type of protection stays intact.

Spare parts

Spare parts for cranes and hoists

How parts are handled
Standard ABRA productsCritical items are held in our own stock
Custom-built equipmentThe critical part list is issued with the offer, and we recommend holding your own stock of those items
Cranes from other manufacturersThe part is identified from the machine and supplied as part of the repair
Obsolete componentsWhere a part is no longer available, we look at what can be manufactured or converted, and say so if the honest answer is modernisation

Identification comes before supply, especially on machines that have been repaired before by several different hands.

Service process

How a service call runs

Five steps, from the call to the written record that closes it:

STEP 1

The call

444 8 440 reaches the Crane Contact Center around the clock. Tell us the machine and what it is doing, because that is what sizes the visit and what goes in the van.

STEP 2

On site within 48 hours

Anywhere in Türkiye. Outside Türkiye the scope of support is defined project by project and written into the contract.

STEP 3

Diagnosis

The fault is traced on the machine, not guessed from the symptom.

STEP 4

Repair and return to service

The component is replaced or repaired, the crane is recommissioned, and load tested where the repair calls for it.

STEP 5

Written record

What was found, what was done, and what should be watched next.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do you repair cranes built by other manufacturers?

Yes. Service, spare parts, modernisation and Crane Tracking retrofit are all brand independent. On a machine we did not build, the visit starts with identification: what it is, what has been changed on it before, and what the failed part actually is.

How quickly can you be on site?

Within 48 hours, anywhere in Türkiye. That is the commitment behind the 444 8 440 line. Customers under a maintenance agreement come first in the queue, which is one of the reasons an agreement is worth having before you need it. Outside Türkiye the scope of support is defined project by project and written into the contract.

Do you keep spare parts in stock?

For standard ABRA products, critical items are held in our own stock. For custom-built equipment the critical part list is issued with the offer, and we recommend holding your own stock of those items, because a machine built for one plant does not share its parts with the next one.

What is the difference between calling you out and having a maintenance agreement?

This page is the unplanned side: something has happened and you need it fixed. A maintenance agreement is the planned side, four visits a year, and it exists to make calls like this rarer. Customers under an agreement get priority response when they do call.

What affects the cost of a repair?

The fault itself, the parts it takes, the access to the machine, and where the site is. We tell you what we have found before the work starts, and anything beyond the original call is quoted before it is done.
